Tell your story
If a landlord has done to you what was done in Story No. 1, you already know how the official route feels: police who call it a civil matter, a tribunal that may say you are not covered, forms and phone queues while your money and your belongings sit on the wrong side of a changed lock. The law can be bureaucratic. Your story does not have to be. A documented account, published with its evidence, warns every student who comes after you, names the address and the landlord to avoid, and creates a record that cannot be quietly filed away. That is power handed back to students — and it is what this site is for.
What you need to publish
A detailed account — what happened, in order, with dates. Who said what, and when.
The evidence — your rental agreement, messages and emails, payment confirmations, photos or video. The stronger the documents, the stronger the story. Claims without documents are not published.
Your choice on anonymity — publish under your name, or anonymously like Story No. 1. Either way, we verify the documents before anything goes live.
How it works
- 1Send your account and your evidence (see below).
- 2We check the story against the documents, and come back to you with any gaps.
- 3Your story is drafted in the same format as Story No. 1 — timeline, money trail, documents, evidence — and you approve it before it is published.
- 4The landlord is offered a right of reply, published unedited alongside your story. Fair, documented, and on the record.
Submit your story: infosysscholar@gmail.com — attach your account and your evidence.
